Music

My main instruments are saxophones (Listen), although I double a mean flute, passable clarinet, and know enough double reeds to teach students some bad habits. I play all the saxes equally well, usually play the alto ('cause it tends to get the lead lines), but think the bari looks sexy as hell.

I have the pleasure of being an alumni of Brass Beat—a band and youth orchestra educational organization in Denver, founded and run by Joy Caylor. In the Bay Area, I am an alumni of Double Funk Crunch and the Nerve Meter. DFC is an amazing funk/disco band, and tNM is something else entirely. Both sites have pictures and MP3s so you can get a better idea of what they are all about.

I attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA on a full scholarship where I pursued a degree in Commercial Arranging. It was at Berklee that I met my friend (and sometimes coworker/musical cohort) Stacia Carr.
